Obituary of Kenny Polding
Kenny Polding, 70, of Peabody and formerly of Danvers, died Saturday evening at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington following a brief illness. He was the former husband of Margaret (Jackson) Polding of Amesbury.
Born in Chorley, England, he was the son of Gertrude (Herbert) Polding of England and the late John Polding. He was raised and educated in England, later lived in Danvers for ten years and has spent the last 25 plus years living in Peabody.
He worked for over 35 years as a machinist for Walbar Metals in Peabody before retiring in 2002. He also was a social member of the Veteran of Foreign Club post 1011 in Peabody for many years.
He also was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed the sport of soccer and cheered for Manchester United in England. He also enjoyed horse racing and spent time at Suffolk Downs in East Boston.
He is survived by two sons, John M. and Jason J. Polding, both of Peabody, a brother and sister, David Polding and Barbara Porter, both of England and also by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral Service will be private.
