Obituary of Richard T. Brown

Richard T. Brown, 54, of Peabody, died late Sunday afternoon at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the long time soul mate of Marie Brown of Peabody. Born in Lynn, he was the son of Kathleen (Tarr) Brown of Peabody and the late Frederick Brown. He was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1971. Richard was the co-owner of the Highline auto body in Peabody and has been in the auto body business for over 30 years. In addition to his enjoyment of cars, Richard also liked boating, fishing, snowmobiling, and visiting the state of Maine. He also was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Richard was a family oriented man with a big heart and generous soul who enjoyed taking care of his family, especially his mother. Besides his long time soul mate and mother, Richard is survived by a son, Richard T. Brown, Jr. of Peabody, two daughters, Lindsay Brown of Peabody and Kristie Pettipas of Springhill, FLA., his brothers and sisters, Gloria Blum of Peabody, Stephen Brown of Hampton Falls, NH, Karen Sheffield of Manchester, NH, Kathleen Bailey of Candia, NH, and Jeanette Brown of Andover, and is also survived by his three grandchildren, Blake and Dru Pettipas and Abby Brown. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
