Obituary of Maria Laudalina Pereira Medeiros

Maria Laudalina Pereira Medeiros LYNN—Maria Laudalina Pereira Medeiros, 84, beloved wife of the late John M. Pereira Medeiros, died unexpectedly at her home Saturday night following a long illness. Born in St. Miguel, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jose Pereira and Maria Francisca Encarnacao. She lived there in her youth, then moved to Canada where she lived a short time. She moved to the United States, settling in Lynn where she lived for over 30 years. Maria loved nurturing her family, and was a member at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody. She will be dearly missed by her family, including: a daughter Maria de Fatima Botelho & her late husband Antonio; one son and daughter-in-law, Humberto & Maria Pereira Medeiros of Lynn; a daughter-in-law, Deolinda Aguiar Medeiros & her late husband Manuel Jose Aguiar Medeiros of Canada; eight grandchildren, Helen & Pedro Jorge, Frank & Noel Botelho, Eric Botelho, Donny Medeiros, and Jenny Medeiros, all of Lynn, and Gorette Aguiar Medeiros, Debbie & Jamie Aguiar Medeiros and Michelle & Kevin Aguiar Medeiros all of Canada; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Maria Lurdes Pereira Medeiros and another son John Carlos Pereira Medeiros. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Her funeral will be held gathering at 9 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Please
