Obituary of Urseline D. (Gill) Giuggio

Urseline D. (Gill) Giuggio, 89, of Fanwood, NJ and formerly of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at the Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in New Jersey following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Ralph A. Giuggio with whom she was married for 48 years. Born in Peabody on September 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Herculano and Maria (Cunha) Gil. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School. She continued her education and graduated from Hawthorne Institute in Salem. She worked briefly as a bookkeeper for M.H. Baker Clothiers in Salem and later for the Sears Roebuck Company. Urseline also studied piano for many years and had a small orchestra that performed for local events. She was also active with the Mothers Guild of Bishop Fenwick until her family moved to Fanwood, New Jersey in 1965. Urseline was a loving and nurturing mother whose first priority was providing a loving and caring home to her family. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Paula Giuggio-Shea and her husband Terry Shea of Scotch Plains, NJ, Donna and Terry Lang of Longwood, FL., and Janice Kodatt of Fanwood, NJ., nine grandchildren, Stacy Boo, Bradford Lang, Ursula, Veronica, and Alexandra Kodatt, and Evan, Elaine, Alyssa and Christopher Shea, and is also survived by two great grandchildren and many dear friends. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60601
