Obituary of Henry L. "Skippy" Van Dyke, Jr.
Henry L. “Skippy” Van Dyke, Jr., 49, of Beverly, died Friday evening at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of Henry L. Van Dyke Sr., of Saint Mary’s Pennsylvania and the late Rita (Engleheart) Van Dyke. He lived most of his life in Beverly and attended Beverly Public Schools.
He was a mechanic who was currently working for McNeil Auto body in Beverly. Skippy enjoyed auto racing and spending time outdoors hiking and being with nature.
Besides his loving father, he is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
Following cremation, a private family service will be held later on at the family lot in Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem.
