Obituary of Phyllis E. (Little) Turner

Phyllis E. (Little) Turner PEABODY—Phyllis E. (Little) Turner, 85, beloved wife of the late Albert Garrish Turner, died Monday at the Rainbow Nursing Home in Peabody following a long illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Carrie (Maider) Little and a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Turner enjoyed her nurturing role as mother and grandmother, and besides that she kept busy with knitting and crochet, crossword puzzles, and following the local sports teams like the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots. She was an avid animal lover who enjoyed cats, and was a communicant at St. Paul’s Church in Peabody for many years. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her friends and family, including: eight sons and daughters, Phyllis G. Bakula and Charlene Reynolds both of Peabody, Carrie J. Turner of Cape Cod, Dorothy Turner of Peabody, Charles F. & Nancy Turner of Seabrook, NH, Albert G. Turner and Richard K. & Caren Turner both of Peabody, and James E. & Nell Turner of Middleton, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband Albert Turner, by her first husband David F. “Bud” Warren, a daughter Louise A. Warren Rossignol, and sister of the late Elmer Louise Gillo, William Little, Robert Little, and Charlotte Woodbury. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M.in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
