Obituary of Frank J. Kenny

Frank J. Kenny, 76, beloved husband of Irene A. (Wallace) Kenny of West Peabody, died peacefully Monday, February 25, 2008 at Union Hospital in Lynn after a brief illness. Mr. Kenny was born in Boston, on November 13, 1931, son of the late Francis Kenny and Isabella (Duncan) Kenny. He was raised and educated in Revere and Malden. Mr. Kenny took pride in being enlisted in the Air Force and served with the 3rd Radio Relay Squadron and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He moved to Peabody in 1961. Mr. Kenny was a vice president of DAKA Company in Wakefield, a food service vending company, retiring in 1986. Prior to that, he worked for Servomation in Stoneham. Frank was involved as a Boy Scout leader for troop 106 in Peabody for a number of years. In addition to his wife with whom he shared 52 years of marriage, he is survived by 2 sons, Stephen M. Kenny of Malden, Scott F. Kenny of Peabody and a daughter and her husband, Kathleen and Alfred Milano of Litchfield, NH; 3 grandchildren; Nicole Milano, Larissa Baker and her husband Eric and Ashleigh Milano, 5 great grandchildren; Damien Milano, Kaleb Milano, Adrianna Milano, Kylie Baker and Hailey Baker, all of whom called him “Papa Elmo”. His brother Murray Kenny predeceased him. His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 9:45 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., (new location) Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Friday 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
