Obituary of Margaret L. (Daley) Chenery

Margaret L. (Daley) Chenery PEABODY-- Margaret L. (Daley) Chenery, 88, beloved wife of the late James T. Chenery, died at the Sunrise at Gardner Park Assisted Living Facility in Peabody on Tuesday, following a long illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie (Hallinan) Daley. She was a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated from Peabody High School. Mrs. Chenery worked as a Telephone Operator with New England Telephone in Salem for several years, before settling into her cherished role as the nurturing mother for her daughters and grandchildren. Margaret was a longtime communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Peabody, enjoyed time with her family, and listening to Irish music. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Denise Nicastro of Peabody and Irene & John Rawson of Rowley; five grandchildren, Timothy, Dennis, and Matthew Arsenault, and Shannon Rossi and Billie Ann Burke; three great-grandchildren, Sevrin and Noah Arsenault, and Talena Rossi; a brother, William Daley of Manchester, MA, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother James Daley and a sister Mary O’Connell. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody. Family and friends are invited to gather in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
