Obituary of Lionel W. "Lee" Eno

LIONEL W. ENO Peabody--Lionel “Lee” William Eno died Friday morning, March 7, 2008 at Beverly Hospital of heart failure. He was 84. Born in Lynn on February 8, 1924, he was the son of Edmond and Parmelia (Manseau) Eno. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1942. Mr. Eno was a United States Army Air Corps veteran of World War II stationed in Selma, Alabama. He was a Flight Instructor during the war. He was married to Eileen (Johnson) Eno for 51 years until her death in 1995. They raised their three sons in West Peabody. He was employed for over forty years at General Electric in Lynn, as an Engineer, until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Eno was an avid golfer and very active during his retirement years, traveling, fishing, canoeing and dancing. He enjoyed reading and was a dedicated sports fan. Surviving him are two sons, Gary Eno and wife Susan of Essex and Mark Eno and wife Patricia of Salem, NH. He leaves five grandchildren, Derek Eno and wife Samantha of Cambridge, Shana Eno of Peabody, Rebecca Eno of Essex, Samuel and Olivia Eno of Salem, NH. He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen, son Dana M. Eno and sisters, Jeannette Eno and Yvonne Lane. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 - 8 P.M. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
