Obituary of Emma L. (McEwen) Nekoroski

Emma L. (McEwen) Nekoroski, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Harborside Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Danvers. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Nekoroski of Peabody who preceded her in death on November 13, 1967. Born in Beverly on April 27, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Abigail (Sanborn) McEwen of Beverly. She is survived by her four children, Joseph A. Nekoroski and his wife Shirley of Beverly, George P. and his wife Gail of Ipswich, Sandra Creps and her husband, Stephen of Corinna, ME, Peter P. Nekoroski and his wife Karen of Salem, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, one adopted great grandchild and two sisters-in-law living in Florida. Emma Nekoroski lived most of her life in Salem and lived in Florida for some of her retirement life. Emma was a gentle, loving wife and mother. She loved all animals, especially her pet cats, throughout the years. Private services will be held for immediate family and relatives at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home in Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 204 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970.
