Obituary of Sr. Ann Marie Chermesino

Sr. Anne Marie Chermesino, SND, 72, Religious name Sr. Anthony Dolores, SND, died on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Sr. Julie Billiart Residential Care Center in Ipswich. Sr. Anne Marie was born on June 27, 1935 in Boston, daughter of the late Vito and Margaret (Pallotta) Chermesino. Sr. entered the Sister of Notre Dame on February 2, 1955 at Waltham, professed her First Vows on July 30, 1957 and Perpetual Vows on July 29, 1962. Sister received an AB in Science from Emmanuel College, A Masters degree in Rehabilitation from Northeastern University and her nursing degree from New England Baptist Hospital. Her medical ministries were at Youville and Beth Israel Hospitals, and most recently as a R.N. at St. Patrick School in Roxbury. She also taught in Salem, Marblehead, Cambridge, Lowell, Lawrence, Boston & Somerville. Sister Anne Marie is the sister and sister-in-law of Joseph and Carol Chermesino of Braintree, Natalie and Paul Rothwell of Littleton and William Chermesino of Randolph; niece of Julia Sullivan; aunt of Karen and Clint Mills, Craig and Ann Gerrish, Justin and Christine Pinardi and Joseph Chermesino; grand aunt of Stephanie, Katie, Clint, Colleen and Alyson, Sr. Patricia Linehan, SND with whom she resided in Community and her Sister of Notre Dame community family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 4, 2008 in Our Lady Queen Chapel, 30 Jeffrey’s Neck Rd., Ipswich. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may pay their respects from 1:30 to 3:45 PM with a prayer service at 2:30 PM at the Sisters of Notre Dame in Ipswich. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Ipswich. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Sisters of Notre Dame, 351 Broadway, Everett, MA 02149.
