Obituary of Rita (Camerlengo) Lippens

Rita (Camerlengo) Lippens, 86, of Peabody, died Saturday evening at the Essex Park Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Beverly following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Peter J. Lippens. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Louise (Boitano) Camerlengo. She was raised and educated in East Boston and attended Boston Public Schools. She has lived in Peabody for the past 46 years. Rita was a devoted and loving mother who cherished her time spent with her children and later her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, knitting and crocheting, playing bingo, and traveling to Foxwood’s Casino. She is survived by her loving and devoted sons, Peter Lippens of Peabody, Stephen Lippens of Ft. Myers, Fla, David Lippens of Haverhill and Philip Lippens of Peabody, and is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ralph Camerlengo and Anne Caruso. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 PM Noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 until 12:00 PM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
