Obituary of John W. Lucia

John W. Lucia PEABODY—John W. Lucia, 40, formerly of Granite St., died peacefully on Sunday April 27, 2008. Born in Lynn on April 5, 1968, he was the beloved son of Robert J. Lucia and the late Anita (Anderson) Lucia. John attended school in Peabody, and later studied Art and Graphic Design at Butera School of Art in Boston. John was employed as a Graphic Artist for John’s Sign Shack in Salem, and was a Sub-Contractor with several carpet and tile companies in the North Shore. His amazing talent as an artist will live on with those who knew him and shared his passion. First and foremost, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and was an avid Boston sports fan. He loved fishing which was his sanctuary. John played many sports including hockey, baseball, and softball. He is survived by: his daughter, Katelyn Lucia of Salem; a beloved friend and Katelyn’s mother, Lisa Gardner; his father and step-mother, Robert & Patricia Lucia of North Port, FL; his sisters, Dawne Ramsdell of Beverly, Robin Jackson of Derry, NH, and Karen Gagne of Gouldsboro, PA; a stepbrother Kevin Stevens; a step-sister, Ann Pyburn; six nephews, Keith, Jesse, Bob, Adrian, Dan, and Aidan; three nieces, Michelle, Marcella, and Cindy; and his beloved Black Lab dog T. J. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita (Anderson) Lucia. A family Funeral Service was held in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home followed by cremation.
