Obituary of Jonathan "Geras" Gerasimowicz
Jonathan “Geras” Gerasimowicz, 40, of Danvers, died on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Salem Hospital after being stricken at his work.
Jonathan was born on August 28, 1967, in Salem, son of James M. Gerasimowicz and the late Theresa M. (Jaslowich) Gerasimowicz. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was also a resident of the town.
Jonathan was employed at North Shore Burial Vault Company in Peabody for the past 9 years. Prior to this, he was also employed as a laborer at other North Companies. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Bass Haven Yatch Club in Beverly.
In addition to his father of Danvers, Jonathan is survived by his brother, James M. Gerasimowicz, Jr. and his wife Michele of Salem; his sister, Karen L. Peake of Marblehead; his maternal grandmother, Alice Jaslowich of Peabody; his 2 nieces and a nephew, Samantha Gerasimowicz of Salem and Nicole Simpkins of Manchester by the Sea and Christopher Peake of Marblehead; his wife, Anne (Brissette) Geras and several aunts, uncles and cousins. His daughter Danielle Geras predeceased him.
His funeral will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., (location) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Thursday 5 to 8 p.m. His cremation will follow the services.
