Obituary of Marion R. (Tierney) Reardon
Marion R. (Tierney) Reardon, 88, of Peabody, died unexpectedly early Friday afternoon at the Lahey Clinic in Peabody. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank A. Reardon.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (McLoughlin) Tierney. She was a life long resident of Peabody and was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Peabody.
Marion was also a life long parishioner of St. John’s Church and was a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Leo Guild. Family was everything to her and upon marrying her husband Frank, she devoted her time and energy to her children and later to her four grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, including her devoted children, Brian and his wife Mary Lou Reardon of Peabody, Kevin and his wife Ching Ho Reardon of Gilbert, AZ, and Catherine Reardon of Detroit, MI., her loving grandchildren, Bethany and her husband Alan Rubin, and Suzanne, Jonathan, and Michael Reardon, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Francis Tierney, Ethel Dolan, Florence Burns, Kathleen Sullivan, and Margaret Tower.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
