Obituary of James A. Collins

James A. Collins PEABODY—James A. Collins, 48, died peacefully Tuesday evening at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Hospital in Burlington following a long illness. Born in Lynn, he was the son of Donna (Reteiff) Collins of Peabody and the late Richard Collins. He was a lifelong Peabody resident and attended Peabody schools. He graduated from Peabody High School, and then received a bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Lowell. James enjoyed traveling, playing hockey, and was an avid music fan. He is survived by: his mother, Donna (Reteiff) Collins of Peabody; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Collins of Romona, CA, John Collins of Peabody, and Leonard Collins of Methuen; an aunt, Christina Banville of Swampscott, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to his Funeral Mass on Monday at 11 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody. Cremation will follow the mass.
