Obituary of Anthony Francis Krawczyk

Anthony Francis Krawczyk, 91, of Amesbury and formerly of Peabody, died early Monday morning at the Harborside Nursing Center in Amesbury after a short illness. He was the husband of the late Julia (Dudzisz) Krawczyk. He was born in Peabody on June 9,1916, the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Kodsidlak) Krawczyk and had resided here most of his life before moving to Amesbury 3 years ago. He was a graduate of Peabody High School. Anthony served in the US Army during WW 11 and was a member of the VFW Post 1011 of Peabody. He had been a tanner at the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Co. of Peabody for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed Traveling with his family to his cottage on Lake Sherburne in Waterboro Maine and was an avid golfer. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Alexander and Jane Krawczyk of West Newbury, a sister-in-law, Annie Krawczyk of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late John A. Krawczyk and the brother of the late Walter and John Krawczyk. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:30 AM. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St. Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:30 AM with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice.
