Obituary of Steven Mitsopoulos

Steven Mitsopoulos 87 years of Peabody, husband of the late Hedwig K. Hedy (Klimaszewski) Mitsopoulos, died Monday morning at the Harborside Nursing Home in Mashpee. Mr. Mitsopoulos was born December 14, 1917 in Peabody son of the late Peter and Alexandra (Kotsovolos) Mitsopoulos. He was raised in Peabody and was a lifelong resident of the city. During WWII in served in the United States Army with Company B 635th tank Destroyer Bn and saw battle in the Rhineland and Central Europe. Mr. Mitsopoulos owned and operated Steven’ s Realty in Peabody for many years until his retirement. He traveled extensively throughout Europe. He is survived by a sister and her husband, Penelope and William Arvanitis of Osterville and several nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by 2 brothers William Mitsopoulos and Daniel P. G Man Mitsopoulos. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody. Relatives and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., location, Peabody.
