Mary (Rossetti) Keegan
Mary (Rosetti) Keegan, 89, of Peabody, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Cedar Glenn Nursing Home in Danvers following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Charles R.D. Keegan with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. She was born in Lynn, MA of December 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Mario and Maria (D’Orazio) Rosetti and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Vincent and Lena D’Orazio after the death of her parents. She was educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School and had resided in Peabody for the past 47 years. As a young woman, she worked at the Champion Lamp Factory in Lynn and after moving to Peabody, she was employed as a saleswoman for Filene’s at the Northshore Shopping Center for 25 years. Mary and her late husband traveled extensively, but her happiest moments were those she spent with her family and friends. Her home and her heart were were always open to everyone. She will be remembered with lots of love for her immense generosity, her unselfish ways, her kindness towards others and her special smile. She was the best mother and grandmother and will be missed so very much. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Clark and her son-in-law, William F. Clark Jr. of Danvers, her granddaughter, Deborah Clark of Peabody, a devoted niece, Brenda Cook and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Gilda Bryson, her brothers, Ugo Rosetti and Vincent and Valentine D’Orazio. Her funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 in her memory.
