Inez (Lombardo) Giacchino
PEABODYInez (Lombardo) Giacchino, 77, beloved wife of the late Salvatore Giacchino, died peacefully Tuesday at her home with her loving family at her side.
Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Violetta (Macca) Lombardo. She lived a few years in Italy, then returned to the United States to live in Somerville in 1936, then moved to Medford in 1942. She attended schools there and graduated from Medford High School. She lived in Peabody for nearly 20 years.
Inez believed in honoring the value of family, and this trait and dedication was shown to her husband by supporting him as he acquired his car dealership, Honda Cars of Boston in Everett now owned by their sons. She enjoyed family gatherings at her home or traveling with the family. She was active in the Peabody Golden Agers, and at the Torigian Life Center in Peabody. She loved to spend winters staying in Highland Beach, FL.
She is survived by: four sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene Giacchino & Diane Leone of Winchester, Paul & Maria Giacchino of Topsfield, Richard & Janet Giacchino of Burlington, and Robert & Alison Giacchino of Topsfield; 10 grandchildren, Alexandra & Victoria Giacchino of Winchester, Michael, Joseph & Anthony Giacchino of Topsfield, Janelle & Nicholas Giacchino of Reading, Jessica, Jake & Olivia Giacchino of Topsfield, and step-grandchildren Bradley & Jaclyn Jensen of Burlington; a sister, Rose Henigan of Salisbury, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 PM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday at 9 AM from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody.
Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
