Obituary of Mabel A. (Wheelock) Sheehan

Mabel A. “Mae” (Wheelock) Sheehan PEABODY—Mabel A. “Mae” (Wheelock) Sheehan, 90, beloved wife of the late Francis B. Sheehan, died Sunday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Teader) Wheelock. She lived there for 21 years and attended schools there. She lived in Peabody for the last 67 years. Mrs. Sheehan was employed with E.G. & G. as an Assembler for several years. Mae was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, enjoyed reading, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. She will mostly be remembered for her dedication to family, especially her nieces and nephews who in turn adored her as they were treasured like her children. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law and was preceded in death by her eight siblings including Elmer, Joseph, Philip, Leonard, and Frank Wheelock, Patricia Newman, Frances Walker, and Mary Wheelock. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. in St. John’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
