Obituary of Lois Elaine (Hodgdon) Crane

Lois Elaine (Hodgdon) Crane, 66, of Peabody, died Tuesday morning at the Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehab Hospital in Salem following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of William B. Crane with whom she shared over 48 years of marriage. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Bertha (Young) Hodgdon. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Essex Aggie. She was a caring, nurturing and loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She worked as a home health aid in Peabody. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by loving and devoted children, William Jr. of Salem, Steve of Beverly, Richard of Hampton Falls, NH, Kenny, Jimmy, Bobby, Darlene, and Donna, all of Peabody, Bonnie of Beverly and Susan of Florida, a sister, Joanie of Florida and numerous grandchildren and a great grandchild. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
