Obituary of Joanne T. (Nolet) Emmett

Joanne T. (Nolet) Emmett, 71, of Danvers, died Tuesday at the Beverly Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Robert J. Emmett. She was born in Salem, Ma on September 18, 1936, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Catherine (Cunningham) Nolet and had resided in Danvers for the past 47 years. She attended St. Chritienne’s Academy and graduated from Salem High School and later from the Salem Commercial Business School. She had been employed in the administrative office at the former GTE Sylvania Company, Boston St., Salem, Ma prior to her retirement. She enjoyed being outdoors in her garden, going to the beach and traveling but her favorite treasure was being for her family and loving seven grandchildren. Surviving her besides her husband are 2 sons, Brian Emmett and his partner Kelli of Effingham, NH and Kevin and Stacey Emmett of Middleton, a daughter and son-in-law, Noreen and Donald Carter of Haverhill, MA, her seven grandchildren, Kristina, Cameron and Brian Emmett Jr. of NH, Rachael and Timothy Carter of Haverhill and Shannon and Meghan Emmett of Middleton and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 8:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s of the Annunciation, Church, Conant St., Danvers at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
