I am so sorry for your loss. I remember going to Mrs. Prata's house to pick out costumes for the Holy Ghost. She was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed by the community.

To The Family, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I also want to share the comfort of John 5:28,29 which assures us of the hope that those who have fallen asleep in death will receive a "resurrection" back to life. Life on an earth restored to a beautiful paradise. Psalms 37:11 says, "The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." While we await that wonderful time please find comfort in these promises.

Maria, Carolyn and family, my deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. I have such fond memories of growing up and being in the Holy Ghost processions and numerous rosary prayers at her house which my father (Jose DaCunha Silva) offered over many years. She will be dearly missed.

Maria, Carolyn, and "kids":

I'm so sorry for you, and for all of us.
We were all sure Tia would live forever: she certainly deserved to.

She was the only sitter I ever had, but it never occurred to me to call her that until much later in life, trying to describe her huge role in my life. She wasn't some "babysitter", she was "Tia".

Her strength, will, and courage course through everyone whom she touched, especially her girls, so we'll get through this by her grace.

One thing's for sure: by now she's got the angels fluffing their wings, tuning their harps, and polishing their halos. She'll have the place in shape in no time!

--Joe

The neighborhood will never be the same. She was the extended grandmother for many of us and will be sorely missed. She had a wonderful sense of humor to kid with and a generous heart. She was a "saintly" role model to us and we are all the better for having known her. To the family, I extend my condolences. I am at a conference in MN and will unfortunately not be able to pay my respects directly. I thank you for sharing her with us.... the East End Driscoll St. Gang.

I happened upon this notice and my heart goes out to the family . Though I do not know the family I want to convey my sympathy to you and share a thought from the Bible that I look to at times such as these. Our heavenly Father Jehovah is a God of love and he hates to see us in pain. This thought is supported by Revelation 21:3,4,where it says, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. I personally cannot wait for that time. Also we await the fulfillment of John 5:28 where it promises that all those in the memorial tombs will come out. What a time of celebration when we will be crying tears of joy instead of sadness. I hope that you find these scriptures comforting as I have when dealing with the loss of a loved one. I again am sorry for your loss. With sympathy
Debbie Griffin
