Obituary of Harold S. Le Page

Harold S. Le Page, 93, beloved husband of Mary D. (Mason) Le Page, died Wednesday morning at the Peabody Glen Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility in Peabody following a brief illness. Born in Barre, VT, he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Donahue) Le Page. He lived there in his youth and attended schools there. He later moved to Peabody where he found work in the Leather business, and lived on the North Shore and Peabody for the last 70 years. Mr. Le Page worked with A.C. Lawrence for 35 years, and was among the first employees with the City of Peabody Council on Aging where he worked for about 10 years as a Cook and Delivery Person. He also worked at McDonald’ s in North Beverly for five years before his retirement about 10 years ago. He was a Reserve with the Peabody Police Department and worked Parades and other public gatherings, and enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and was always known to their friends as Dad. He is survived by: his wife, Mary D. (Mason) Le Page of Peabody, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage; three sons, Richard Le Page of Salem, and Thomas Le Page and Robert Le Page, both of Freedom, NH; six grandchildren, Amber Yeager of PA, Ronald Martin of FL, Richard Le Page of Bridgewater, Thomas Le Page of Long Island, NY, Kelly Denham and Jennifer Le Page, both of Salem; five great-grandchildren, and one niece. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne Martin, and 13 brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a visitation on Friday from 11:30 to 12:45 P.M. in the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St., Peabody of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home. His Funeral Ceremony will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM in the Conway facility. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
