Obituary of Blaine M. Ruelle
Blaine M. Ruelle, 28, of Peabody died at his home on Saturday, July 5, 2008 after a brief illness.
Blaine was born on July 4, 1980, in Salem, son of Cheryl A. (Chenard) Ruelle of Peabody and David M. Ruelle of Salem. He was raised in Peabody, attended St. John’s Grammar School and graduated from PVMHS Class of 2000. During his Junior & Senior years he was the assistant manager at the former Swing Away Golf in Peabody and also worked at MVP Sports in Danvers as a salesperson and at Gingas Tuxedo Rental in Burlington. He later pursued his education at the North Shore Community College in Danvers and received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice.
Blaine was employed as a customer service representative at Horizon’s Edge Casino Cruises of Lynn and also as a security guard at Custom Security and Alliance Security Companies of Saugus. While growing up Blaine served as an Altar Boy at St. John the Baptist Church and was also a boy scout along with his brother Christian. They enjoyed summer camps together. As an athlete, he played baseball from the T Ball League through the Babe Ruth Little League, Pop Warner Football, soccer and enjoyed golfing, playing pool and darts, and learned to skate with his brother at Hockey Town USA in Saugus.
In addition to his mother, Cheryl A. Ruelle of Peabody, Blaine is survived by his brother, Christian D. Ruelle of Peabody; his maternal grandmother, Louise (Lento) Chenard of Peabody; several aunts, uncles, cousins and his many dear friends.
His funeral will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 9:45 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts St., Suite 450, Newton, MA 02158 or the North Shore Cancer Center, 17 Centennial Dr., Peabody, MA 01960.
