Obituary of Sandra Ann (Rubico) Ellis

Sandra Ann (Rubico) Ellis, 68, of Revere and Chatham, MA, died Wednesday at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after an 8 year battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Harry Ellis. She was born in East Boston, the daughter of the late Jerome and Amelia C. (Cecchino) Rubico and was a graduate of East Boston High School in 1957. She later resided in Revere and Chatham Ma and Annapolis Maryland before returning to Revere. She had been an office manager with the Harbridge House Consulting Firm in Boston for 20 years. Later she became a Real Estate Agent in Chatham, Ma prior to her illness. She and her husband were avid sailors and sailed in the Bahamas, Caribbean, Chesapeake Bay and Massachusetts waters for many years. She had been a member of the Board of Directors of the Revere Public Library and was a member of the Revere Women’s Club. Sandra was also active and served as a board director of the Pink Rose Foundation of Dedham. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Gerri Rubico of Tewksbury, MA, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet Mc Whinnie of Lowell and Gerri and Richard Buono of Peabody, several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the sister of the late Marie Di Battista. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Pink Rose Foundation, P.O. 4025, and Dedham, MA 02027 in her memory.
