Obituary of H. Joseph Wade

H. Joseph Wade, 79, of Peabody, died early Thursday Morning at the Brigham & Women’ s Hospital, Boston after a short illness. He Was the husband of Mary (Moran) Wade with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Stoneham on October 11, 1922, he was the son of the late Herman F. And Helen G. (Rose) Wade and had resided in Melrose before moving to Peabody more than 50 years ago. He had been a veteran of WW 11 serving in the U.S. Navy and Had been a member of the American legion Post 153 of Peabody. He was a carpet installer working with the Boston Carpet Laying Co., Boston for 28 years prior to his retirement 18 years ago. He was a member of the Carpenters union Local 2168 of Boston. Following his retirement, he enjoyed Traveling around the Country and loved playing his guitar and organ and listening To Country music. Surviving him besides his wife are 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Maureen Wade and Ronald and Kathryn Wade all of Beverly, Ma., 2 Daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Shea of Salisbury, Ma. and Roberta and James Fleming of Bangor, Me, an extended family member, Gisela Greenlaw of Hamilton, Ma., 2 sisters, Jacqueline Willard of Groveland, Ma and Barbara Merrill of Melrose, Ma 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery,Peabody. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are Kindly invited.
