Obituary of Nena "Lil" (Conon) Cady

Nena L. “Lil” (Conon) Cady PEABODY—Nena L. “Lil” (Conon) Cady, 88, beloved wife of the late Arthur Cady, died unexpectedly on Friday at the North Shore Medical Center—Salem Hospital. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Agnes (Petrukovitch) Conon. She lived there in her youth, and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. She lived in Peabody for nearly 50 years. Mrs. Cady enjoyed nurturing her family, and she also was the Editor and Graphic Designer for Women’s Household Magazine. Lil, as she was affectionately known, was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening to be in nature, had a love of cats, and cooking was a pleasure of hers to share with the entire family. She lived with five generations of family, and is survived by: a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen & Arthur McGee of Peabody; two sons and daughters-in-law, David & Mary Cady of Morristown, TN and Tom & Linda Cady of Peabody; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; a sister-in-law, Marielle Conon of SC, and two nieces. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled Veterans Groups,
