Obituary of Antonette A. (Farrara) Luongo

Antonette A. (Farrara) Luongo, 93, of West Peabody died early Thursday morning at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Ferninand “Fred” Luongo. She was born in Italy on April 28, 1915, the daughter of the late James Vincent and Mary Farrara and came to Massachusetts at an early age settling in Mansfield, MA. She had resided in Peabody for the past 45 years. Antonette had been a hostess at the Hilltop Steak House in Saugus for nearly 40 years prior to her retirement in 1995 at the age of 80 years. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her house. She is survived by a son, Valmore Parrott of Salisbury, her grandchildren, Ruth Martinho with whom she resided of Peabody, Manny Martinho of East Boston, Roger and Donna Parrott of Wakefield, Debra Skane of Billerica, Louis Parrott of Salisbury and Freddy and Francesca Parrott of Malden, her great grandchildren, Nickolas and Zachery Martinho of Peabody, Rachel and Ashley Parrott of Wakefield, Jennifer and Shaun Morrissey of Georgetown, Jason and Jennifer Skane of Ft. Bragg, NC, Stephanie Skane of Evertt and Fred and Olivia Parrott of Malden, and great, great grandmother of Emma Morrissey of Georgetown, James Skane of Ft. Bragg, NC and Kaylee Fiori of Everett, her dear friends, James Savage of Wakefield and Rose Currier of NH and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Ruth Kelly. A Family funeral service will be held on Monday with internment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Arrangements by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home of Peabody.
