Obituary of Jack Scaringi

Jack Scaringi, 89, of Peabody, died early Sunday morning at his home following an extended illness. He was the beloved husband of Eolanda (DiFabio) Scaringi with whom he shared over 63 years of marriage. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Charles and Nicoletta (DiFabio) Scaringi. He was raised and educated in Cambridge, lived in Somerville for 16 years and has spent the last 43 years living in Peabody. He was a veteran on World War II who served with the United Stated Navy. Prior to his retirement, he worked of over 35 years as a coppersmith for the Boston Naval Shipyard in Boston. He also was a professional photographer who received his certificate in photography form the Franklin Institute in Boston. He worked throughout the North Shore doing portrait and candid pictures for weddings, Bah Mitzvah and other events. He also enjoyed gardening and was very handy in plumbing, electrical and carpentry work, and was a member of the West Congregational Church in Peabody. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his three daughters, Eileen Scaringi of Peabody, Priscilla and her husband H. Thomas Tutko of Danvers, and Carolyn and her husband Steven Doolan of Tacoma, WA, his two grandchildren, David Tutko of Salem and Michael and his wife Holly Tutko of Concord, NH, and is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Scaringi, Dr. Joseph Scaring, Rev. Genio Scaringi and Daniel and Clorinda Scaringi and Alberta Bowers. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the West Congregational Church Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, Ma 01923.
