Obituary of Dorothy Maihos

Dorothy Maihos, of Peabody, died Thursday afternoon at her home following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was a graduate of Peabody High School and Hawthorne Institute. Miss Maihos was employed by CBS Electronics in Danvers as an accountant and prior to her retiring, was an office manager and Comptroller in Boston for many years. She was a communicant of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, a member of the Daughters of Penelope, Philoptohos Society and many other organizations. She was the daughter of the John and Sophia Maihos, and sister of the late James Maihos, Stella Garnham, Julia Hammond, and Rose Crossman. She is survived by one sister, Mary Franggos of Peabody and by several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility, followed by Funeral Services at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
