Obituary of Mary D. (Cafarella) Perrella

Mary Dorothy (Cafarella) Perrella, 89, of West Peabody and formerly of Everett, died peacefully early Thursday morning at her home with her family at her side after a short illness. She was the wife of Louis Perrella with whom she shared 73 years of marriage. Born was born in Everett on October 22, 1918, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Catherine (Downey) Cafarella and had resided in Everett most of her life before moving to West Peabody 19 years ago. She had been a nurturer to her husband and children and loved to cook for her family. She also enjoyed knitting. Surviving her besides her husband are two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles D. and Carol Perrella of Sandown, NH and Dewey and Kathryn Perrella of Peabody, two daughters and their spouses, Arlene and Robert McLean of Peabody and Geraldine and James Dunne of Melrose, MA, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Thomas and Phyllis Cafarella of Winchester and Joseph Cafarella of Everett, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Ernest Barbati of Everett and Catherine and Joe Ingalls of San Diego, California, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a great, great grandchid. She was the sister of thelate Vincent Cafarella, Evelyn Giannino and Rose Muollo and the grandmother of the late Michael McLean. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
