Obituary of Audrey M. (Simpson) Cimmino

Audrey M. (Simpson) Cimmino, 72, of Peabody, died Thursday evening at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Robert L. Cimmino with whom she shared over 55 years of marriage. Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian (Lawford) Simpson. She later lived in Revere for 10 years and has spent the last 42 years living in Peabody. Audrey was loving and compassionate person who enjoyed being with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also worked for a short period of time as a Nurses Assistant for a local nursing home. Besides her loving husband, Audrey will be dearly missed by her loving and devoted children, Robert L. Cimmino Jr. and his wife Marianne of Waterford, CT., Karen Cimmino of Peabody, Steven and his wife Shelly Cimmino of Nottingham, NH, her late son, Edward “Teddy” Cimmino, and David and his wife Holly Cimmino of Salem, her twin sister, Lillian and her husband Richard Dushanek of Goffstown, NH and by her five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jessica, Steven Jr., and Matthew Cimmino. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jimmy Fund Dana Farber Cancer Inst., 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
