Obituary of Elizabeth L. (Maresco) Barnes

Elizabeth (Maresco) Barnes PEABODY Elizabeth L. (Maresco) Barnes, 62, died Saturday afternoon at her home following a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Howard Beach, NY, she was the daughter of Helen (Dowd) Maresco of Peabody and the late Joseph Maresco. She lived in New York in her youth where she attended schools, and moved to Peabody where she lived for the last 37 years. Mrs. Barnes was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by: four sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert & Karen Barnes of Hopkinton, James & Linda Barnes of Haverhill, Brian Barnes and John & Jill Barnes, both of Peabody; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen & Richard Langlois of New Port Richey, FL; 11 grandchildren; one brother, John & Janet Maresco of Valley Stream, NY, and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Wedndesday at 10:30 AM from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut ST. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 P.M. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
