Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Colligan

Mary Elizabeth Betty Colligan, 80 of Rowley and formerly of Danvers and Peabody, died December 14, 2004 at the Seaview Retreat Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born in Peabody on March 12, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Mahoney) Colligan and had resided in Peabody and Danvers most of her life before moving to Rowley a year ago. She had been a clerk at the P.J.Woods Insurance Agency in Peabody for 25 years prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Danvers. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Helen Colligan of Clifton, N.J., and a niece Agnes Meehan of Rowley. She was the sister of the late William and Philip Colligan. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on April 27, 2005 at 9:00 AM in St Mary of the Annunciation Church, Danvers, MA. Relatives and Friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in First Parish Cemetery in York Village, Maine. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framngham, MA 01701 in her memory.
