Obituary of Thomas A. Perry
Thomas A. Perry, 70, of Danvers, and formerly of Peabody died Friday at the North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Pauline “Polly” ( Pyzluka) Perry.
He was born in Peabody on March 28, 1938, the son of the late Edmund A. and Annie (Hannemann) Perry Sr. and was educated here graduating from Peabody High School. He then attended Coyne Electric Institute in Boston and following school and apprenticeship, he became an electrician and
Refrigeration technician with the Eastman Geletine Corp of Peabody for 26 years prior to a medical retirement in 1989.
Tom had served with the US Army from 1961 until his discharge in 1963 where he was stationed in Hawaii.
He enjoyed playing tennis in his earlier years and golf in his later years and had been a member of the Eastman Geletine Golf league.
He also liked vacationing down on cape cod in South Yarmouth for many years. His most cherished time was spending it with his family.
Surviving him besides his wife are a daughter and son-in-law, Kristin Perry and her husband Jeffrey Hanulec of Wakefield, a son and daughter-in-law, Darrin Lindsey and Heather Perry of Hershey, PA, two sisters-in-law, Mary (McCarthy) Perry of Peabody and Marcia and her husband Fred Kieser of Cordoba, MD, his grandchildren, Ainsley, Kaia and Lydia Perry all of Hershey, PA, his step grandchildren, Christopher, Peter and Chelsey Hanulec all of Wakefield and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edmund A. Perry Jr.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the West Congregational Church, West Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the West Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 27 Johnson St., Peabody, MA 01960 in his memory.
