Obituary of Nancy M. (Napoli) Cunha

Nancy M. (Napoli) Cunha 82 years, wife of George R. Cunha of Peabody died Wednesday morning at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody. Mrs. Cunha was born March 31, 1923 in Boston daughter of the late Vito and Mary (Butera) Napoli. She was raised in Everett and graduated from Everett High School class of 1941. Before moving to Peabody in 45 years ago she had resided in Everett and East Boston. Mrs. Cunha was a sales associate for 15 years at Ann & Hope at the Liberty Tree Mall until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of the VFW Post 2346 Ladies Auxiliary in Saugus, loved to ballroom dance, traveling and cooking. In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by a son and his wife, Robert and Pamela Cunha of Lynnfield; 2 daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Edward Power of Reading, Elaine and James Buckley of Billerica; a brother Vincent Jim Napoli of Revere; 3 sisters, Catherine Abate of NH, Nora Fiore of Everett and Jean Ward of Norwood; 6 grandchildren, Alyssa and Daniel Buckley of Billerica, Bridget and Shauna Power of Reading, Caroline and Vanessa Cunha of Lynnfield and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 3 - 7 p.m. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
