Obituary of Lois "Catherine" Carr

Lois “Catherine” Carr, 77, of Peabody, died Thursday afternoon at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Beatrice (Kiley) Carr. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools. She worked for many years at the former J.B Thomas Hospital in Peabody as a cafeteria worker before retiring about 12 years ago. She loved playing cards and bingo and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She is survived by a sister, Marie Daffe of Salem and by 30 nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jane Gerard. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM
