Obituary of Marilyn A. (Habeeb) Foley

Marilyn A. (Habeeb) Foley, 55, devoted spouse of Paul K. Foley of Peabody, MA and beloved mother of Kevin P. Foley of Freemont, NH and Jolene M. Foley of Peabody, MA, died at home on Sunday, October 12, 2008 after a long battle with Cancer. Mal was born on March, 1, 1953 in Boston, MA. She is the daughter of Frederick Habeeb and the late Pauletta (Belmont) Habeeb Webber, and step-daughter of the late Barbara Habeeb and Albert Webber. Aside from her immediate family, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Leigh, her brother Frederick and sister-in-law Lenore of Georgetown, MA, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1971, and worked as a dental assistant for Dr. William Siegel, now retired, and Dr. Edward O’Leary of Peabody, MA. Mal loved to travel with her family and friends. She was a strong supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness and was a participant in the Avon 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 A.M.. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody (new location) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell Street, Peabody, MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or the VNA Care Network & Hospice, Development Office, 5 Federal St., Danvers, MA 01923.
