Obituary of Marie G. (Danner) Wall
Mrs. Marie G. (Danner) Wall, 91, of Peabody, died Thursday morning at the Beverly Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Boston firefighter Chester I. Wall who died in 1993.
She was born in East Boston on August 7, 1917, the daughter of the late Edward and Nina (Flaherty) Danner and was raised there graduating form East Boston High School.
Following her marriage to her husband she had resided in Cape May, NJ and in Texas and Hawaii before returning to New England where she lived in East Boston and Nashua, NH before moving to Peabody 14 years ago.
She enjoyed reading novels and doing crossword puzzles and also cooking and caring for her family.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, retired Boston firefighter James and Louise (Gay) Wall of Peabody, a brother William Danner of Plainville, MA, her two grandchildren and their spouses, Deborah and Christopher Gilbert and Kim and Gary Bua all of Peabody, her five great grandchildren, Katelyn, Nicholas and Kyle Gilbert and Courtney and Steven Bua and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park , West Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
