Obituary of Philip J. Savageau

Philip J. Savageau PEABODY—Philip J. Savageau, 60, of Exeter, NH and formerly of Peabody, beloved husband of Marguerite (Agostino) Savageau of Exeter, died unexpectedly at his home in Exeter on Monday afternoon. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Henry and Gloria (Gagnon) Savageau. He lived in Peabody for most of his life, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1967. Mr. Savageau worked as a Machinist on the Third Shift in the Aircraft Division at G.E. in Lynn with over 36 years of service. Phil enjoyed his camp at Grand View Campground on Baxter Lake in Rochester, NH where he fell in love with fishing and outdoor life. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed yearly trips to Laconia, and will be remembered for his fun loving spirit and sense of humor. He is survived by: his wife, Marguerite (Agostino) Savageau of Exeter, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage; his mother-in-law Rita Agostino of Peabody and her late husband John; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carolyn & Rick McGlone of Peabody, Daniel & Maryanne Agostino of Derry, NH, John Agostino, Jr. and Stephen Agostino, both of Peabody; a niece and Godchild, Michelle Tang & her husband Dan of Dracut; nephews Eric, Sean, Ryan and Kyle McGlone of Peabody, and many other nieces and nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday at 9 AM from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688 or to the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Brookline, MA 02215.
