Obituary of Edward C. Rollins

Edward C. Rollins Peabody--Edward C. Rollins, 75, beloved husband of 51 years of Gail F. (Crooker) Rollins, passed away at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. Ed was born, lived and worked in Peabody until his retirement in 1993. Ed worked at the Peabody Municipal Light Department for 27 years and at Dooley’s Garage in Peabody Square prior to that. He retired to the sunshine of Clearwater, Florida with his wife Gail in 1993. Ed graduated Peabody High School in 1950 and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Currituck subsequent to graduation. He was a lifelong Freemason and member of Jordan Lodge AF &AM. Ed was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Gail F. (Crooker) Rollins of Clearwater, FL, son Daniel and Patricia (Mills) Rollins of Medfield and grandsons Daniel and Joseph, son Woody and Lynn (Kearney) Rollins of Montecito, CA and grandsons Teddy, Patrick and Matthew and son Barry and Tracey (Klein) Rollins of Medfield and grandson Alexander. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 – 6 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to the Funeral Ceremony on Monday at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill Brodeur Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the International Mesothelioma Program, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, 75 Francis Street, Boston, MA 02115.
