Obituary of Lorraine T. Murphy

Lorraine T. (Pelletier) Murphy, 76, of Phoenix Row, Haverhill, died Monday afternoon at the Merrimack Valley Hospital following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph R. Murphy. Born in Salem on October 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Irene (Girard) Pelletier. She had resided in the Peabody/ Salem for several years and has spent the last three years living in Haverhill. She was a devoted mother and loving wife who spent her time raising her family. She is survived by 5 sons and three daughters-in-laws, Peter & Susan and Mark & Nancy Murphy, all of Haverhill, Paul and Joseph Murphy, Jr., both of Salem, Gerard & Cynthia Murphy of Chesapeake, Virginia; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen & Jay Joyce of Lake Worth, Fla., and MaryAnn Gaff of Salem; 3 sisters, Mary Jane O’ Keefe and Louise Turgeon, both of Salem, and Jacqueline Mahoney of Peabody; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard & Lillian Murphy of Peabody; 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral service will be held on Friday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church at 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
