Obituary of Margaret (Valerio) Burridge

Margaret (Valerio) Burridge, 77, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late George Burridge. Born in Tewksbury, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Texeira) Valerio. She was raised and educated in Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools. She worked in the leather industry as a finisher with the Rex Leather Company in Peabody until her retirement. She loved playing bingo and playing cards with the girls, but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and later her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her including her daughters, Joy and her husband Kenneth Scholes of Danvers and Pam Cordeiro of Peabody, her brothers Frank Valerio of Worcester, Joseph Valerio of Las Vegas, and Arthur Valerio of Epping, NH, 2 grandchildren, Tara LeBoeuf and her husband Christopher, and Joshua Cordeiro, 3 great grandchildren, Michael, Marissa, and Christopher, Jr. LeBoeuf, all of Peabody. She was the sister of the late Richard Valerio, Evelyn Madore, and Elsie Ottati. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 5:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 4:00 until 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
