Obituary of Helen L. (Driscoll) Ambrose

Helen L. (Driscoll) Ambrose, 76, of Peabody, died Sunday afternoon at the Cedar Glen Nursing Home in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Ambrose Sr. She was born in Peabody, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Murphy) Driscoll, she was a lifelong resident of Peabody, attended Peabody Public Schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School. She worked in the credit department for the Sear Roebuck Company for ten years before retiring a few years ago. She also was a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John J. Ambrose Jr, and his wife Amanda Ambrose of Boxford and Barry and Elizabeth Ambrose of Peabody and is also survived by her loving five grandchildren. A private family service was held today with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
