Obituary of Carol Ann Shaw

Carol A. Shaw, 58, of Wayland and formerly of Lynn, died Wednesday evening at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody after a long illness. She was born in Lynn , Ma on October 17, 1950, the daughter of the late Edward A. Seczawinski and Helen I. (Safchuk) Shaw and was raised and educated there graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Lynn in 1969. She had been an administrative clerk at the Polaroid Corp. in Waltham for over 20 years prior to her illness. She had resided in Walpole, Waltham and Sudbury before moving to Wayland. Carol had an ardent love of animals and was proud of her three miniature Horses, Longfellow, Spanky and her favorite Zinger that she stabled in Sudbury. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts for many years. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Mary Jane Shaw of Peabody, a former sister-in-law, Ellen Shaw of Peabody and her nieces and nephews, Edward Shaw, Debra Leno, Kristine Shaw and Jason Sweeney all of Peabody, Jennifer Bogiages of Danvers and Philip Sweeney of Lynn and her great niece and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility. Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 8:15 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Animal Rescue League, MSPCA, 350 So. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130 in her memory.
