Obituary of Martha (Koulas) Partaledis

Martha (Koulas) Partaledis, 93, of Peabody, died early Saturday morning at the Pilgrim Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Ernest Partaledis. Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Gregory and Constance (Liatsis) Koulas. She has lived in Peabody for most of her life and attended Peabody Public Schools. After high school, she worked for a short period of time at the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Company. Upon her marriage, she started her family and dedicated many years to her children. She then worked as a waitress and hostess at the former King’s Grant Restaurant in Danvers before retiring many years ago. She was a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She liked watching Boston’s Professional Sports teams and was an avid Red Sox fan. Martha is survived by her three sons and two daughters-in-law, George Partaledis of Peabody, Costa and Elizabeth Partaledis of Peabody, and Jim and Judy Partaledis of Lynnfield, she is also survived by three grandchildren, a great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ted, Ernie, Bill and Peter Koulas, and Stella Boyson, Dorothy Koulas and Betty Koulas. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by Her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
