Obituary of Salvatore P. Luciano
Salvatore P. Luciano, 78, of Peabody and formerly of East Boston, died Saturday morning at his home following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband of Florence (Bergamasco) Luciano with whom he shared over 56 years of marriage.
Salvatore was born and raised in East Boston. He attended and graduated from English High School. He continued his education and received his degree from Northeastern University in Boston. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War, and prior to his retirement, he worked as and accountant for Bolt, Beranek and Newman in Cambridge.
Besides his loving wife, Salvatore is survived by a son, Richard L. Luciano and his wife Tricia of Nashua, NH, a daughter, Cheryl L. Luciano and her husband Bill of North Reading, two brother, Anthony Luciano of Waltham, and Louis Luciano of Stow, and beloved grandfather of Richard, Daniel, and Thomas Luciano.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy in Salvatore’s name may be made to the Lahey Clinic Philanthropy Department, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805
