Obituary of Mary A. (Urbanski) Vlasuk

Mary A. (Urbanski) Vlasuk 87 years, wife of the late Wasil Cuppy Vlasuk, died Sunday at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Exeter New Hampshire. Mrs. Vlasuk was born May 29, 1917 in Peabody daughter of the late John and Sophie (Kyrinski) Urbanski. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School class of 1934. She has been a resident of Salem since 1940. During WW II she was an ambulance driver for the Red Cross in Peabody. Mrs. Vlasuk was employed for many years as a retail sales clerk in women’ s apparel at Conrad and Chandler at the North Shore Shopping Center in Peabody and retired in 1991 from Romans at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers. She was a member of the socialites and the ladies knitting club at St. James Church in Salem and a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Joseph’ s Church in Peabody. Mrs. Vlasuk enjoyed her grandchildren, swimming and traveling. She is survived by a son and his wife, John A. and Jane Vlasuk of Danville NH; a daughter and her husband, Patricia A. and Ralph Minichiello of Henniker NH; 3 grandchildren, Michele Minichiello of Dover NH, Michael Minichiello of Hillsborough NH and Judith Ann Stuver of Virginia Beach VA; 2 great grandchildren, Gillian and Nathaniel Stuver of VA; several nieces and nephews. A granddaughter Marie T. Minichiello and her 3 siblings Edward and Zigmund Urbanski and Alex Urban pre deceased her. Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St. location Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 3 - 6 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
